Gov’t committed to fixing roads and water woes, says JLP’s Chang at conference
The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) has acknowledged that Jamaicans are frustrated by lack of water and poor road conditions.
But, the JLP said the administration will move aggressively to address the issues, pointing to the $45-billion SPARK road repair programme.
"This government led by Andrew Holness has run the country in a way that we can say, confidently, we have the capacity, financially and physically, to correct those problems," declared JLP general secretary Dr Horace Chang at the party's conference under way at the National Arena in St Andrew.
"We have always had the need to fix the critical things of the country," he added.
