St James men charged with larceny
Detectives attached to the St Ann Police Division have charged two men with housebreaking and larceny following an incident in the parish on January 13.
Charged are 25-year-old Timar Watson, a mechanic, and 42-year-old Richard Jennie, construction worker, both of Montego Bay, St James. Reports from the Brown's Town police are that, at 7 p.m., the complainant securely locked his establishment and went home. Later that night, he was alerted by the security camera system and saw two men inside his supermarket. The men entered the supermarket by forcefully opening a grille to the rear of the building, then using a sledgehammer to dig a hole in the wall.
The police were contacted and both men were accosted and taken into custody and subsequently charged. Their court dates are yet to be finalised.
