Barber shot and injured in St Catherine

A barber has been hospitalised after he was shot and injured by unknown assailants in Portmore, St Catherine Monday night.

Reports are that about 10:30 p.m. residents of Waterford heard explosions and summoned the police.

Upon arrival the 31-year-old was observed with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the lower body.

He was assisted to hospital where he was admitted for his injuries.

The Portmore Criminal Investigation Branch is conducting a probe in the matter.
