Assault rifle seized by St Catherine North police

On Monday, the St Catherine North police seized an AR16 assault rifle during an operation in the community of Greendale.

No arrest was made in connection with the find.

The weapon was found in a wooded area.

The police say the team went to the area in search of guns, drugs, and wanted persons.

The Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch is investigating the seizure of the gun.
