Woman hit by car while crossing St Catherine highway dies

The St Catherine police are trying to identify a woman who was fatally hit by a car while crossing the PJ Patterson Highway Tuesday morning.

It is reported that about 7:40, the woman was attempting to cross a section of the highway when she was hit by a 2017 BMW x1 motor car.

She was assisted to hospital where she died from her injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was warned for prosecution.

An investigation is under way by the Old Harbour Traffic Department.
