daCosta Cup Group A takes shape
THE three most dominant schools in Zone A of the 2016 Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA)/Flow daCosta Cup are all on a winning trend as the zone begins to take shape.
Cornwall College, St James High, and Green Pond registered wins in their latest matches.
Cornwall College are looking to stake a claim for pole position in a zone that is sure to have its own twists and turns before the Inter-Zone round.
The team were able to win despite losing striker Jourdane Fletcher, who was red-carded for an off-the-ball incident in their first game.
The win sent the Montego Bay team clear atop Zone A on maximum six points from two matches and a healthy goal difference over St. James, who also picked up three points at Jarrett Park.
St James also maintain a one-hundred per cent win record, while Green Pond recovered from their drawn first match to claim three vital points to be third in the zone.
