Western Bureau:

St Elizabeth Technical forward Jovoney Brown netted his seventh goal in as many matches and Demar James fired a brace, as the defending champions slammed Black River 3-0 in yesterday's ISSA-FLOW daCosta Cup.

Brown was on target from the penalty spot in the ninth minute, while James scored in the 21st and 34th minutes of a game thoroughly dominated by the champions.

The win takes STETHS up to 15 points from seven matches, with Lacovia (11) and Munro (9) battling for the next automatic qualifying spot.

The only bright spark for Black River was Rene Higuita-style outfield play by their goalkeeper Davian Gayle who was more comfortable with the ball at his feet than standing between the sticks.
