Finishing the job - Jamaica Crocs face Barbados in CCC second leg at Ewarton
Jamaica senior men's Rugby team will be looking to finish what they started against Barbados in the second leg of the Caribbean Championship Cup (CCC) final on Saturday.
After demolishing the Bajans 60-14 in the first leg in Barbados, the Jamaicans will start as firm favourites.
The 15 aside final will take place at Ewarton Sports Complex at 4 p.m.
Chairman of the Jamaica Rugby Union, Jerry Benzwick, is urging the public to support the team as he continues to try to grow the sport in Jamaica.
"We want people to come out and support us because Rugby is a sport that has a category for everyone. You have the 15 aside, the 10 aside, the seven aside for men and women," Benzwick explained.
The diminutive former player expressed disappointment at Corporate Jamaica not lending a helping hand to the seven series team that historically qualified for the World Cup Sevens tournament.
"For a team that just qualified for the World Cup, I don't see any red carpets a roll out. They are treating us like the ugly step-children," Benzwick said. "We would like to bring the English boys here in Jamaica to have a training camp with the local boys before the World Cup. As you know, the team is made up of English based players and this would be a good way to showing them to Jamaica because, Jamaica doesn't know them. We would love to have them together for a week."
