Arnett looking to get back to winning ways
Arnett Gardens FC head coach Jerome Waite believes that the team's fortunes can be turned around with a good performance against Reno FC in their Red Stripe Premier League clash at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex on Sunday.
Waite believes that if the team can correct mistakes made in their 2-1 loss to Cavalier FC in the previous round, they can return to winning ways in their third game of the season.
"The areas where we saw let us down, those are the things we are going to spend time working on before we play our next match on Sunday," Waite said.
FITNESS LEVEL
"We will be playing at home also, and when you are playing at home, you always have that the 12th man behind you, and we expect the team to rise above expectation.
"We should have won the game against Cavalier easily based on the number of chances we got in the first 60 minutes, but when I look at it, the season just started, so the fitness level is not up there like it is supposed to be.
"The players' concentration in the last part of the game wasn't up there, and they (Cavalier) ended up getting two goals, but it is a work in progress, and we just have to continue."
Fabian Reid, who was in the golden boot race last season, got, the goal for Arnett, but Nicholas Hamilton's goals in the 91st and 92nd minutes made sure that Cavalier maintain their perfect start to the season.
The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
