Jerome Waite, coach of Arnett Gardens, says his side will end Tivoli Gardens' 100 per cent win record for the Red Stripe Premier League season when they meet in the Monday night fixture at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.

Tivoli won their first three games of the season and now sit atop the league on nine points, while Arnett is lying in fourth position after winning two games and losing one.

"It is a must win game. We are playing at home. They have a 100 per cent win record and we are two from three, so we need to continue what we have started from the last game where we won," Waite told STAR Sports.

"Once Arnett Gardens and Tivoli Gardens clash, it is always a mouth watering game, and it is always an end-to-end clash. It is not a game that regularly ends in a nil all draw."

The rivalry between the two clubs has always elicited fierce contests, as was the case when Tivoli travelled to Trench Town last year.

The match ended in a 1-0 scoreline after a late Newton Sterling free kick. Sterling has since swapped the red and black stripes of Arnett for the orange of Tivoli, and that is expected to add some tension to the game between the rivals.

Edward Seaga described the match as an 'even contest' and says the fixture is one that he always looks forward to.

"We play against Arnett next and we are accustomed to winning against them. They are accustomed to putting up a good fight against us, so it should be interesting," Seaga said.
