Black Lions, DB Basovak showdown in St Catherine Division One final

FORMER kingpins of St Catherine football, Black Lions FC and DB Basovak, will square off next Sunday in the St Catherine Division One football final at 4 p.m.

It took three extra-time goals to decide the outcome of the semi-final match between DB Basovak and Braeton FC. Damari Henry and Kevon Martin scored in the 92nd and 95th minutes for DB Basovak who won 2-1. Jermaine Morgan scored for Braeton in the 100th minute.

Black Lions also scored a 2-1 win over Beacon Hill Football Club. Tyrone Mullings in the 35th and 39th minutes of play gave Black Lions a quick 2-0 lead before Chase Spence scored a late consolation goal for Beacon Hill in the 87th minute.

Both Black Lions and DB Basovak will play in the Major League competition next season.
