RUSEA'S High's 14 year-old goalkeeper Sadrick Antoine's produced a number of brilliant saves yesterday to help his school earn a 0-0 draw with Frome Technical in their Zone B ISSA/WATA daCosta Cup match at the Collin Miller Sports Complex in Hanover.

The draw ensured that Frome remain atop the zone with 20 points. Rusea's are second with 17 and Anchovy third with 15.

Cleighton Stephens, coach of Frome, said the game was a difficult one.

"Our main objective the first round is to top the table. Rusea's came and fought in the two games we played them. I am grateful that I came out of both games not losing. We shared the spoils and I have no complaints," Stephens said.

"The guys really fought and they really tried. We dominated both games. Our aim now is to win the next two games" he added.

Antoine said his teammates played a huge role in the game.

"Without my defence line, it would have been a catastrophic result for us. We played Frome already, so we know their style of play. I studied their striker and know what he is capable of, so I sent my defence to stop him.

"It was a good game, I made a few good saves. I was hoping we would have won as it was a home game and we were very confident," Antoine added.

In the highly anticipated game which was watched by many supporters of both teams, Frome were the dominant team throughout and played an organised style of football. They created several chances and kept the agile Antoine busy defending multiple shot attempts.

Rusea's also had their fair share of chances, but it was their stout defending that kept them in the game.
