Problems being a politician son
Dear Pastor,
I am having a problem. My mother was living with a man and that man supported me. My mother said that I am the son of a famous politician. Then another man claimed that he was my dad and sent me to school, but I did not graduate. Suddenly, one day I saw a van drove into my yard and asked for the man who was in charge of me. I told the man where to find my stepfather. That man turned out to be the politician who my mom claimed was my father. He asked me why I was not attending school and I told him why. He told me to tell my step-father that he was taking me away. He took me and sent me to a prominent school.
After I left the school I
attended CAST (now University of Technology), the University of the West Indies, then went on to the Norman Manley Law School. I got my law degree and got a job in a bank. My father told me what type of investments I should do. I am having all type of problems because I am the son of this prominent politician.
D.
Dear D.,
Your letter was extremely long and I have deleted much of what you have written. The names of the individuals you have mentioned in your letter are prominent people and it would do no good to publish their names. I would only wish to say that although you are not sure who your dad is, you were fortunate to get a good education and a job. From what you have written, which I have deleted, you have earned a lot of money and should never suffer from lack of finances.
Take care of yourself. Serve your God and don't hold anything against anyone.
Pastor
