Firearm seized after row in Manchester

The Manchester police division have seized a .38 revolver and three rounds of ammunition in Cheapside district in the parish after the firearm was pulled in a heated argument between two men late yesterday.

Reports from the Kendal police are that during the argument one of the men pulled the firearm and shot the other in his right arm.

The police said the shooter was subdued by bystanders before the police were alerted.

According to the Corporate Communications Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, the injured man was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released.

The identity of the man in custody is being withheld pending further investigations.
