The University of the West Indies' premiere masked-themed party, Smirnoff Mask-A-Raid, returns to the Mona sandpit and promises to live up to expectations.

Mask-A-Raid, now in its ninth staging, is hosted by Aston Preston Hall. Over the years, the event has grown, cementing its place as a hallmark event on the UWI, Mona campus.

high intensity

"The total experience is what sets us apart. There is no party on campus or even all that I know of that has all that Mask-A-Raid has to offer," Cultural and Entertainment Affairs Chairperson on the Aston Preston Hal Lee-Ann Baugh told THE WEEKENDSTAR.

The theme for this year's staging is Hawaiian Escape, and Baugh says the venue will be transformed to reflect the theme.

The disc jockeys charged with the responsibility of delivering high intensity through music are Coppershot, Illusion, Bloodline, and DJ Kaniva.

Early bird tickets will cost patrons $700 and $1,000 at the gate, with ladies enjoying 2-4-1 entry before 11 p.m. VIP tickets are $2,500.

Mask-A-Raid will carry a Detox bar sponsored by Caribbean Dreams with inclusive Dreams tea and water.
