Reggae concert moves to new location

New Zealand reggae concert One Love is moving to a larger venue to accommodate more persons for the annual event.

According to local media in New Zealand, the move comes from the need to ensure that more persons get to see the concert.

The show has a reputation for being one of the most popular reggae festivals in the Southern Hemisphere as tickets are usually sold out before the actual show date.

The concert will now be held at the Tauranga Domain in the Bay of Plenty - 200 metres down the road from its original site, Wharepai Domain.

One Love is expected to attract more than 15,000 people. The move means an extra 250 VIP tickets are available, along with extra GA passes.

The One Love concert is set for February 6 and 7 and will feature some of the biggest acts in reggae, including Third World, Collie Buddz, and Steel Pulse.

February 2016 marks the fourth anniversary of the One Love festival, which has fast become New Zealand's most trusted celebration of 'roots, rock, and reggae'.

This year, One Love is giving back to the community. For each ticket sold, $1 will be donated to the One Love charitable partner - Homes Of Hope Charitable Trust. The charity is responsible for providing for children in need of care and protection due to neglect and/or abuse.
