Emerging dancehall artiste Stamma Tella is hoping to make waves in the local music scene with Independent Ladies.

The single debuted in October and has been raking in hundreds of views online. It was produced by Wanted Iconic Studio in Falmouth, Trelawny, in conjunction with KaleX Production.

"This song a captivate the females right now because it is all about these independent ladies," the 30-year-old Montego Bay-based entertainer told the WESTERN STAR.

"The ladies can relate to every line and topic in the song. That is why them a take a liking to it, so me work with the ladies them," he added.

"I'm portraying my image and songs towards the females. I like to sing to them and tell them things they love and want to hear," said Stamma Tella, who has been steadily nurturing his music career since he first arrived on the scene in 2004.

The artiste said his most popular song is Cry Mi Cry. He has recorded other tracks, such as Nah Let Go and Start Affliction.

"The next step in the music is to take things international," the entertainer said.

"Mi 'stamma', so people always a tune in and want know how me do it, but I try to bring a different flavour to the music industry. So we a put in the work. Stamma Tella ever deh come with something that is on point and on target. So greatness all the way," he added.
