Dancehall Queen Danger sent social media into a frenzy yesterday when she confirmed that she was pregnant. The former Team Spice member posted pictures of her growing bump on her official Instagram page on Tuesday evening, confirming what a few persons had suspected.

In the post, the dancer, who had just returned home from a trip to Russia, said that she is about to receive another 'golden star' as she shared the news with her followers. While many fans issued congratulatory messages, others used the opportunity to urge the dancer to take it easy now that she is with child. They were especially vicious in the comments on a video of her dancing with her bump visibly showing.

Speaking with THE STAR about the negativity she has been faced with since her big reveal, the dancer said that she is too happy about the fact that she has been blessed with another pregnancy to be concerned with what people think.

"I plan to do as I normally do and just ignore dem to the best of my ability and focus on myself, my health, my career and just plan for the future and hope for a safe delivery," she said. "At the end of the day, that is all that matters so dem can talk till God come, I don't really care. I just want a healthy baby."

The dancer said that although the pregnancy wasn't planned, she is happy. She is already a mother to a six-year old daughter and says she considers this new blessing to be part of God's plan.

The dancer says she hopes to have a boy but will be happy if she is blessed with another girl. She is due to deliver in May 2019.

SLOW THINGS DOWN

"It's like destiny. I always wanted another child. I actually predicted this before it happened because I always say that when my daughter is six, I would have another child," she said. "I am happy because at the end of the day, it's best to just have them when you're young and able so you have time to grow them and still accomplish your goals."

Danger said that although she will have to slow things down as the pregnancy becomes more advanced, she doesn't look at her current situation as a setback.

"I have plans, so I still want to do my dance classes, but that depends on how healthy I am. If I'm healthy, I will continue to do me. If I'm not able to do dance, I will get girls to dance on my behalf at upcoming events," she said.

She also pointed out that women are strong and can handle pregnancy without allowing the changes to stop them from doing what they love.

When asked about the baby's father, the entertainer said she was not ready to reveal who that person is as yet. She said she is aware that people will find out who he is sooner or later. But for now, she said she would like to enjoy the fact that he is out of the spotlight.
