Gospel sensation Chozenn has signed his first endorsement deal. The entertainer told THE STAR that he inked the deal last week and will be partnering with The Newtown Bakery Limited as brand ambassador.

The family-owned bakery located on Maxfield Avenue, is known for producing baked goods under its flagship brand Flavour Fresh.

Under the deal, Chozenn is to use his music to bring awareness to the brand.

The artiste told THE STAR that the latter is something he's excited about as he has always wanted to do more with his music.

He said that he is excited about the partnership and is looking forward to what is in store.

"I'm very excited to be part of this family and the newness of this brand and its products. It was not in my intention to sign a contract of this nature this year, but the Lord has a way of doing things," he said. "It was a divine process. I was on the Jodian Pantry School Tour and they (the team from the bakery) saw the performance and how engaged the students were. They saw that I represented the tour properly. I represented the King properly, and so they thought I would represent their brand properly. They said: 'Hey, can we partner and make this happen'? and I said yes."

The entertainer said the deal is a physical manifestation of what he has always felt in his spirit would happen if he continued to do the King's work.

"I've envisioned things like these in the spirit so now that it is manifesting in the physical, I'm excited and grateful," he said.

In a release sent to THE STAR, Shalane Lee Chin, CEO of The Newtown Bakery Limited, said the partnership between her company and the gospel artiste came at an ideal time.

She explained that the artiste represents what the company has been looking for in a brand ambassador and says the team is happy to have him on board.

"This decision was just fitting. He (Chozenn) embodies everything we looked for, particularly in an ambassador. We are in constant pursuit to bring something exciting and crave-worthy to our customers and what better way to do so than to collaborate a perfect matchup of crowd favourites. I kept looking for someone who, like our brand, has our Jamaican people at heart, someone they could relate to and I saw that he fits and aligns perfectly with the brand's objectives," she said.
