After an entire year has passed since the release of his Haffi Win It album, reggae singer Bescenta is returning with the music video for the title track.

Bescenta, given name Bryden Wilkins, hosted the launch for the album on April 12 last year, which coincided with the reggae singer’s birthday.

Bescenta explained that the video production took this long because “Sometimes production teams organise timelines for the completion of projects and because they want to meet that date, certain things are overlooked”.

“In other cases, the video is completed and it is not what the artiste had envisioned or wanted, so changes have to be made to satisfy the creative vision before it is actually released for the public,” he said.

The video is the collaborative effort of Veinless Visuals and Unite The Hearts Music (the record label that Bescenta is signed to) and adopts the storyline of a youngster in training to make it on a football team but is selected after several attempts.

With the album’s release, Bescenta essentially changed the focus to promoting the album’s 11 tracks individually, and securing shows to stay current amongst the crop of new wave reggae entertainers.

Since his debut more than a decade ago, Bescenta has performed for diverse audiences throughout tours across the Caribbean and Europe.

But the anticipation to get a big break overseas intensifies with every song added to his catalogue.

“There is still time; even with my birthday right around the corner, I still feel like I’m 16 years old in life and in music,” he said. “I feel refreshed, keep pushing forward and don’t waste valuable time worrying about my age.”

As he awaits the release of the music video, the reggae singer has continued to share new music, including Give Thanks and Prais e and Top Wrongking (Top Ranking).
