Scores of high-end vehicles and shuttle buses filled with partygoers made their way from the foot of the hill at the Caymanas Golf Club from as early as 10 p.m. last Saturday, to be part of the celebration that was Coppershot Music's 25th anniversary.

The entrance into the main party area boasted photos of the disc jockeys and producers dating back to 1994 when the sound system's journey started.

Artistes Sean Paul, Chi Ching Ching, Cham, Munga Honorable, Moyann, Bounty Killer, Ras Ajai and dancehall newcomer Skillibeng were part of the energetic line-up for the anniversary event.

The chemistry on stage as the microphone was passed from one artiste to the next was applaudable.

From the simple show of support to chiming in with lyrics from each other's music, it made the show flow all the more freely.

"We all have known each other for years, so it came easy," Dutty Cup Crew's Looga Man told THE STAR of the display of unity and free-flowing energy of the performance.

The Got Them Insane artiste, who was on stage for most of the show, also received a moment in the spotlight to spit a few lyrics from the Jam One dubplate.

Other veterans, Chicken, also of Dutty Cup Crew; Suku and Kunley, both of Ward 21; and Leftside also added to the vibrant and unified stage show.

The 1990s playlist from the Showtime, Bug and Playground rhythms, and the Good To Go rhythm from 2000, which featured a few freestyles from the artistes, took partygoers back in time.

Meanwhile, Chi Ching Ching, with his dancing hits Rock Di World, Roast or Fry (Breadfruit) and Way Up N Stay Up, got the party rocking, and kept the energy level high.

Munga Honorable was another hot number as he had both male and female guests engaged in song.

The self-proclaimed 'Gangsta Ras' handed over the microphone to Bounty Killer, coming from Footloose minutes after 3 a.m. Despite the time, the 'Warlord' was allowed to finish his set.

Though showtime was delayed by one hour to 1 a.m., the performances were not thwarted by any intervention of law enforcers, as the organisers worked in a timely fashion to direct the artistes from the main party area and designated cabanas to the stage.
