Come June 11, the 'Good Morning America' summer concert series will have a dancehall flavour as Shaggy, Sean Paul and Spice have all been billed to perform.

The announcement was made yesterday morning via the television show's official Instagram page. Shaggy also shared the news on his official Instagram page. He, Spice and Sean Paul are expected to perform their collaborative hit single, Go Down Deh.

This news comes following the song's massive success. Go Down Deh, that was released two weeks ago, has surpassed six million views on YouTube and was the number one trending video on the popular streaming platform for a week. It was only recently dethroned by Skillibeng and Nicki Minaj's Crocodile Teeth remix.

PREVIOUS PERFORMANCES

Both Sean Paul and Shaggy have made previous appearances on 'Good Morning America'. Shaggy made a virtual appearance last year following the release of his Hot Shot 2020 album.

During his online set, he performed his hit single, Boombastic. Sean Paul has made two appearances on the show, in 2017 and 2018. In 2017, he performed his megahit Rockabye with Clean Bandit and Anne Marie, and in 2018, he performed Mad Love with Becky G and David Guetta. This, however, will be Spice's debut. The 'Queen of Dancehall' is expected to make history as the first female dancehall artiste to grace the show's stage.

'Good Morning America' is one of the most watched morning shows in the US. The dancehall artistes will join the likes of South Korean pop group BTS, Chance The Rapper, and Ne-Yo on the highly anticipated summer concert series.
