Shane E signs with St Bess label DunrichMuzik

Dancehall entertainer Shane E has teamed up with the St Elizabeth-based label DunrichMuzik to manage his career going forward, as he aims to return to the forefront of dancehall.

"Dunrich a the man we a work with right now different from my label One Press Entertainment," Shane E declared. He explained that the decision to sign with Dunrich was effortless. "What Dunrich bring to the table right now, I've never experienced that with any other record label as in with the teamwork and the effort dem push out to music, mi never get that with any other production and as the boss would say, we a work with who believe inna we," said Shane E, given name Theopholis Edwards.

Samantha Richards, a representative of DunrichMuzik, lauded Shane E's professionalism and humility.

"He is a humble youth. He is dedicated to doing his work. Once we call him, there is no hitching to get work done. He is loyal to us and he has wonderful talent. He is versatile when it comes to genres ... he is switching his music to a positive path right now," she said.

Richards also described the signing as a power statement in an industry where rural record labels are overshadowed by record labels that are based in the Corporate Area.

"A lot of persons think that if the record label isn't in Kingston or Montego Bay, you can't get established artistes to work with you. That was the backlash we were getting at the beginning. So, our aim is to show them that no matter how small you think your record label is, do not limit yourself to just new artistes. Show the world that you can get established artistes to work with you as well," she said.

Shane E's two recent releases with DunrichMuzik, Heart Cry and My Story, have been enjoying steady rotation.
