Halle Bailey reflects on motherhood
Halle Bailey's journey into motherhood has taught her the importance of patience and brought new perspectives on life. The 24-year-old star, who shares her 12-month-old son, Halo, with her ex-partner, rapper DDG, opened up about the powerful influence her baby boy has had on her.
"I've learned to have so much patience with a baby who's discovering all of these new emotions for the first time," Halle said in an interview with Us Weekly.
In recent months, Halle has embraced travelling the world with her son, cherishing the memories they have created together.
"My relationship with travel has been really beautiful. I love to learn about the world and new experiences and new cultures," she added. "The trips that I've taken with my family are some of my favourite memories of all time."
Motherhood, she revealed, has brought about a "new level of maturity", which she described during a GRAMMY U master class talk. "I feel like I've reached this new level of maturity, especially being a mother now, which is so crazy to say," Halle said. "It has opened up a whole new can of worms for me, honestly. I am obsessed with my baby. It's insane."
Reflecting on her new sense of purpose, Halle explained: "It's literally like your heart is in your hands in this beautiful being. I just feel like I have such greater purpose and so much more to do for him and so much more that I want him to be able to experience. It gives me a new motivation and drive and passion for myself, for my family, for my life."
