Adofo eyes breakthrough with ‘No Feelings’
In 2017, Adofo recalled playing around on his mobile phone before recording a freestyle song.
His friends heard it and were immediately impressed, and it was at that moment that the dancehall newcomer thought "I was built for this". Fast forward to the present, and the Montego Bay, St James-born deejay is seeking to cement his status as a formidable force in dancehall following the release of his single No Feelings on February 14. The track was jointly produced by Puttydan Records, Poohdan Records and 45 Skella Records.
"I am so happy with how things are progressing. The song speaks about reality, and you can tell by the feedback that it is going to have a massive impact. Already, it is trending at number 19 on YouTube and has close to 100,000 views," he said.
Adofo debuted with Ambassador, produced by Blaq Rushan Productions, in June 2022. He has since followed up and impressed with Ohio and PCH, tracks that have racked up more than 800,000 views on YouTube.
"My aim is to be internationally known, to win a Grammy and all," he declared. Now working closely with Traplife Quebanz Records and the other aforementioned labels, Adofo, an alumnus of William Knibb Memorial High School, said he is fully focused on his musical output in 2025 which may include the releases of an EP and album.
