Brooklyn Peltz Beckham has criticised his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, in a bombshell statement shared on Instagram. The 26-year-old aspiring chef, who is married to actress Nicola Peltz, has been estranged from his family for some time and posted a lengthy series of Instagram stories on Monday.

In his first post, Brooklyn said he does not want to reconcile with his family, explaining: "I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed."

He continued: "Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they'll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out."

In a second post, Brooklyn accused the former footballer and Spice Girls singer of attempting to "ruin his relationship" with Nicola.

Brooklyn, who was first linked to Nicola after they were spotted together at a Halloween party in October 2019, claimed: "My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn't stopped. My mum cancelled making Nicola's dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress. Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children."

He further alleged that his parents were adamant he signs before the wedding date, saying the terms of the deal would only be activated then. He claimed his refusal delayed the payout and said their treatment of him changed afterwards.

In a third Instagram story, Brooklyn expanded on how he says his and Nicola's wedding was overshadowed by his family's alleged actions.

He claimed that the night before the ceremony, members of his family told him Nicola was "not blood" and "not family". He also alleged that since he began standing up for himself, he has faced "endless attacks" from his parents, both privately and publicly, which he says were deliberately leaked to the press.

"Even my brothers were sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last summer," he added.

Brooklyn, who popped the question in New York back in July 2020, then went on to claim that Nicola has been "consistently disrespected by my family".

"No matter how hard we've tried to come together as one. My mum has repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable," he claimed.

Brooklyn claimed that despite tensions, he and Nicola travelled to London for his father's birthday but were only offered time together at a large, highly publicised party. He alleged that when a private meeting was finally agreed to, it came with the condition that Nicola not attend, and said his family later refused to see him altogether.

He went on to claim that "Brand Beckham comes first", alleging that family approval is tied to public appearances and social media performance.
