As he expressed condolences to dancehall artistes KipRich and Kizzy Don on the passing of their newborn, prominent clergyman Bishop Rohan Edwards said he is encouraging the couple to seek professional counselling.

"KipRich and Kizzy must seek professional counselling [from someone] who could take them through this process, because in every loss, whether it is a house, car or family member, it will have some form of impact. Some persons who have lost family members are affected psychologically forever, so counselling will help them to get over this," Edwards.

On Thursday, KipRich broke the news that the couple's two-week-old premature daughter, who they named Miracle, had died at a health facility in Colombia. Baby Miracle was born on January 16 while the couple was on a work trip in the South American country. The baby, who was due to be born in April, weighed just 1.5 pounds (700 grams).

"We don't have a good news inna the morning here at all. From morning we at the hospital a broke down every minute. The baby passed at 7 a.m. this morning (Thursday)," he said. As expected, KipRich said they are extremely devastated adding that Kizzy Don is broken.

"Kizzy nah do well at all, she not doing well. Right now she deh pon dig grung up here, she just not doing well. It a mess we up very bad. We thank you all for the prayers and thing, but only God knows," KipRich said.

Edwards also encouraged the couple to seek divine intervention, while adding that the possibility of them conceiving in the future is possible.

"Please pray and ask God for strength. This is life, and people die every day, and we have to understand that is how life is. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. The good thing is that they have youth in their favour and they can have other children," he said.

Shortly after Miracle's birth, the couple launched a GoFundMe to help cover the mounting expenses in the intensive care unit at a hospital in San Andres, Colombia. Their goal was US$250,000 (approximately J$39.1 million).

KipRich, whose given name is Marlon Plunkett, had travelled to Colombia to perform at a show in San Andres on January 17. Kizzy Don, given name Danielle Banton, 28, a social media star and rising entertainer, accompanied him. KipRich said she had received clearance from her doctor to travel before leaving the US.
