George Zimmerman retweets image of Trayvon Martin's dead body-the black teen he killed

George Zimmerman retweeted an image over the weekend showing the corpse of Trayvon Martin, a black teen he killed three years ago.

On Friday Sept. 25, an account named Super Star Destroyer tweeted, "Z-Man is a one-man army," and a photo of Trayvon's dead body. Zimmerman then retweeted the status to his 11,000 followers.

This was the same photo that was used as evidence in Zimmerman's trial. But though he was acquitted after shooting the 17-year-old, social media users sentenced him to harsh criticisms over the weekend.

'@TherealGeorgeZ you're a disgusting human being. I know I shouldn't ever say that but look at you. All proud for killing a kid," one person tweeted at Zimmerman.

"One day someone will tweet the lifeless body of @TherealGeorgeZ and karma will be had," another person tweeted.

Twitter deleted the tweet by Sunday, however Zimmerman's account is still active.

The former neighbourhood watch guard is not new to social media antics as he recently took jabs at US President, Barack Obama.

Just last month he responded to a critic on twitter by saying:

“We all know how it ended for the last moron that hit me. Give it a whirl cupcake.”
