Investigators from the Flight Safety Division of the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority were deployed to conduct an investigation into the incident which transpired on a Delta aircraft

yesterday.

It was reported that about 3:22 p.m, a Delta Airlines Boeing 737 aircraft was taxiing for take-off from the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica, when the crew reported a fire warning indication from its cargo bay.

Emergency procedures were initiated and all passengers and flight crew members were safely evacuated from the aircraft. The Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) team and external emergency response agencies responded to the emergency.
