File Creary and Williams

The rape case involving businessman and former Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) councillor Don Creary and his alleged accomplice 22-year-old Shaneke Williams was again set for mention on December 11.

When the two appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate yesterday attorneys representing both accused said they were yet to have full disclosure.

The investigating officers in both cases against the businessman, Woman Constable L. Lewis and Detective Corporal V. Francis, were absent from the proceedings.

The attorneys, Tom Taveres-Finson, who represents Creary, and Nadine Flowers, who represents Williams, told Resident Magistrate Simone Wolf-Reece that they were still awaiting statements.

bail conditions

RM Simone Wolfe-Reece told the court that full disclosure should be made on or before October 30.

Both accused had their bails extended until December 11.

RM Wolfe-Reece also reminded both Creary and Williams to continue to abide by the instructions of their bail conditions.

Creary is being accused of the rape of a 15-year-old girl in 2013 in St Mary and the rape of a 19-year-old woman at an apartment in Meadowbrook, St Andrew, in June this year.

Twenty-two-year-old Shaneke Williams is charged with aiding and abetting and sexual touching in connection with the first case.
