Man to be sentenced for damaging cars
A man is to be sentenced in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on April 6 for destroying two motor vehicles beyond repair.
Charged with malicious destruction of property is Theo Howell. He pleaded guilty to the offence when the matter was called up.
The court was told that Howell used a form of weapon to damage an Infinity and Peugeot motor cars which belong to a male and female complainant, respectively.
Further allegations are that he used a stone to damage the windows.
The court heard that the owners' insurance company has written off both vehicles due to the extent of the damage.
Howell's father, who was present in court, showed a written agreement that he brokered with an insurance company to pay for the damages.
Howell was further remanded and Resident Magistrate Maxine Ellis has ordered a probation report prior to his sentencing date.
