Police kill twin brothers during operation

Two males, who are believed to be twin brothers, were shot and killed this morning by members of the security forces in Maverley, St. Andrew,  Thursday morning.

Police said that the men, Ramone Cummings and Ramiesh Cummings, both 24, were killed during an early morning operation along Denver Crescent.

A resident of Maverley told THE STAR, that the men are not from the area.

“Early this morning me up and a get the children ready for school and hear some loud explosions. But when me hear from the shout the youth dem nuh come from here," said the resident.

The St. Andrew South police, who are investigating, say two firearms were seized during the operation.

The Independent Commission of Investigation has launched a probe into the shooting.
