Double murder on MoBay's hip strip

Crime scene investigators in St James were called to a double murder along the hip strip on Gloucester Avenue in Montego Bay, St James, yesterday afternoon.

On arrival they found the bullet-riddled body of two men, one slumped in a black Mark X motor car, and the other lying metres away from the vehicle.

Up to press time, the names of the deceased were not available. 

Reports are that about 1:30 p.m. loud explosions were heard during what is believed to have been a drive-by shooting.

THE STAR gathered that one of the dead men was the target of the attack. The police cordoned off the area as they searched for clues to assist their investigation.

A senior officer with knowledge surrounding the ongoing bloodshed in St James told THE STAR that this latest incident is related to a gang feud between rival gangs in the parish.
