Teen allegedly stabbed over her panties
A Kingston man, who is charged for wounding a 16-year-old girl after she deleted images of her underwear from his phone, was remanded when he appeared before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Friday.
Richard Bailey, 33, is charged for unlawfully wounding.
Allegations are that Bailey attacked the 16-year-old girl on March 6 while she was on her way to school, stabbing her in the chest and back several times before she was rescued by a taxi driver.
It is reported that the girl found the images of her underwear on Bailey's phone on December 23 when he asked her to install some applications to the instrument. Bailey was, at the time, doing some gardening at her home.
The court was told that the teenager deleted the images, after which Bailey begun to stalk her calling her phone several times.
"I told him to stop calling my phone," the report read.
Bailey's bail application was denied on the basis that he could become a threat to the complainant as they both reside in the same community in the Kingston 8 area.
He is to be tried on May 4 in the Night Court.
