Vere Technical girls gone missing

A Clarendon mother has been at her wits end since her 16-year-old daughter, Lloydie- Ann Linton, failed to return home from school on April 7.

"I am stressed til I am even wetting my bed," Elfreda Linton told The STAR yesterday.

"Since she gone, I haven't been eating well. I haven't been sleeping well."

The May Pen police have been looking for Lloydie-ann and her classmate, Shanice Burrell, 17, since they were reported missing on April 10.

Linton said her daughter, a fifth-form student at Vere Technical High School, called her three days after she went missing and told her that she was sorry. "'I am sorry'. That is all she said until Thursday gone here," Linton said.

She said last Thursday, she got another call from her daughter, while she and the investigating officer were at Vere Technical gathering information.

"When she called this time she just say that she is alright," Linton said.

"I said tell me where you are, let me come and get you, and she said that she doesn't have enough credit."

Burrell's mother, Dacia Burrell, was not as lucky to get a phone call. She told The STAR that this is not the first time her daughter has gone missing.

"In February, she left a note that she is leaving because she is in love with this boy and we never found her until four days later," Dacia said.

"This time she did not leave any note."
