Two shot dead in Manchester

Two men are now dead, while one battles for life in hospital following a shooting incident in the vicinity of Church Teachers College in Manchester.

Dead are Phillip Knight, aka Chase, 28, of Comfort District, and Andrew Thomas, aka Bankpuss, also of a Comfort District.

According to police reports at approximately 4:35 p.m., Knight, Thomas and a third man were leaving a food establishment located near the college when two men on foot opened fire on them.

All three were hit, with Knight and Thomas later succumbing to their injuries.

Police said a fourth man escaped injuries. The shooters escaped on foot.

The police believe this killing is a reprisal for the murder of a young woman in the Broadleaf District in the parish on Sunday.
