Two dead men found in Kingston

The Half-Way Tree police in St Andrew are investigating two separate incidents in which the bodies of two men were found on the road, seemingly murdered in similar fashion, in Central St Andrew yesterday.

An officer at the police's Corporate Communications Unit told THE STAR that about 6 a.m. yesterday, residents in Cross Roads, St Andrew, stumbled upon the body of a man, who has so far been identified as 'Teddy'. He is believed to be in his 50s, and is from Southside, Kingston.

He was found in a pool of blood with multiple wounds. Police suspect that a blunt object was used to inflict the wounds.

Just an hour earlier, the police were called to McGregor's Square, Half-Way Tree, where residents discovered the body of an unidentified man, who also had multiple wounds and bruises. He is believed to be homeless and of unsound mind. He was clad in a green shirt and yellow pants.

The police said they do not know if the incidents are related. They are yet to establish a motive or make an arrest in the murders.
