Super-talented artist Roxroy Hutchinson eats, sleeps and breathes art and his clients, both at home and abroad are convinced that he is destined for greater things.

Hutchinson attended Church Hill Primary School, then did a stint for two years at Grange Hill High School before completing his secondary education at Green Island High School.

"I am all self-taught, and have been drawing for so long that I can't remember when I started; so you could say that I have been doing this all my life," he told the WESTERN STAR. "I have received no formal training.

"My inspiration comes from my drive to make the best out of this talent that God gave me, and I continue to perfect my skill in the field on a daily basis," he added.

According to Hutchinson, it normally takes about hour and a half to complete a painting if it's a rush job; but he would normally do it at his own pace.

"I advertise my work on my social media accounts," he said. "Other times I send pictures of canvas pieces to my regular clients via WhatsApp ... and most times, it (the piece) is gone (sold) by the end of the day."

Some of his clients are Beaches Negril, Sandals Negril, Sandals Montego Bay, Hedonism II Negril, Kool Runnings Adventure Park and individuals, both local and international, who purchase his art pieces for their homes.

"In the next five years, I see myself two times as exposed as I am now," he said. "I hope to take my work to the international level, travelling overseas to meet the demands of clients and hopefully get into the Universal Studios and/or Disneyland."

"I just want to show the less fortunate youths that through hard work and dedication, anything is possible," he said. "I am a living proof to that."
