After Errol Samuels' story of trying to find his former girlfriend was published in THE WEEKEND STAR, females have been bombarding him with calls.

But the 63-year-old said none of them have brought the news that he was anticipating.

"Most of them were seeking a relationship while expressing that their heart goes out to me and what I am going through. Some of them wished me luck in finding the woman I was searching for but the majority of them wanted to know if I was seeking a girlfriend but I told them not this time," he said.

Samuels garnered much attention after he sought the public's assistance in finding his girlfriend that he left in Jamaica more than 40 years ago.

The woman, who answers to the name 'Dolly', was heavily pregnant when he migrated but he has not seen or heard from her since he left the island.

During the early 1970s, Samuels lived at a premises on the Doctors Cave Beach Hotel where he worked as a waiter, and met Dolly, who was working as a barmaid on Barnett Street in Montego Bay.

He stated that for a few years he kept a low profile in the US and during that time he lost contact with Dolly.

"I will continue to search for her as long as I live. Since the article came out, I was told by social media blogger Dr Love that someone had contacted him to say that they knew her and that she was living in the United Kingdom. The person had promised to source more information so I am waiting on that. I really want to find her and play a part in the child's life though," he said.

(If you can help Errol Samuels reunite with Dolly, he can be contacted via telephone at 203-223-8618.)
