Cameron-Powell among JCF officers to be reassigned

Senior Superintendent Vendolyn Cameron-Powell, commanding officer for the Clarendon police division, has reassigned to the Services Branch.

She is to be replaced in Clarendon by Glenford Miller, senior superintendent in charge of the St Andrew North Division.

This will take effective on July 15.

Cameron-Powell is the first female commanding officer to be in charge of Clarendon, and has serving the parish since October 2016. 

She is one of eight members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s gazetted officers to be reassigned.

Among the other transfers are Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Calvin Allen, head of the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch, will now be in charge of the operations branch. 

He swaps places with fellow ACP Gary Welsh.
