Residents of Yellant district in St Ann say the area has become tense ever since three of its residents were found murdered on November 21.

The bullet-riddled bodies of Brandon 'Lando' Williams, 22, Romario 'Bashie' Higgins, 18, and Herman Wilson were found on a deserted roadway in the district.

Meanwhile, Superintendent Carlos Russell, commanding officer for St Ann, says the police have not identified a motive for the murders.

"The investigation is still in an early stage and the investigators are following up on a few leads and doing some checks, but we don't have any motives right now," he told THE STAR.

Russell says Williams recently relocated to Yellant, after being charged in relation to a shooting incident. At the time of his death, he was going to report to the Brown's Town Police Station as a condition of his bail.

Russell added, however, that he isn't aware of any other incidents in recent times, assuring residents that the triple murder was a 'one-off' incident.

"Since that shooting, we have not had any other incidents of shooting or murder," he said.
