Brazil supporter Joshua Vassell wore a France shirt to Pier 1 in Montego Bay to watch yesterday's World Cup final and lost it.

With his team having dropped out at the quarter-final stage, Vassell decided he could not back Argentina to lift the World Cup.

Yesterday, as he settled to the sea-front venue to have a few drinks and watch the game with his pro-Argentina friends, Vassell at one moment felt he had made a big mistake. Argentina were 2-0 up appeared to be cruising to victory. However, Kylian Mbappe led the French comeback, which ended when Kingsley Coman and Aurelien Tchouameni missed from the penalty spot in the shootout.

Amid the excitement, Vassell's friend ripped off his France shirt and threw it into the sea. They then wrapped an Argentina scarf around his neck. He found all this amusing and continued to drink his rum.
