Suspect held for Valentine’s Day murder

The Clarendon police have charged 20-year-old Romeo Fullerton with the Valentine's Day murder of a fruit vendor in May Pen.

Dead is Keith McIntosh, 27, of Mocho district. Fullerton was charged on Saturday. Reports are that about 8:30 p.m., McIntosh was selling fruits at his stall in May Pen, when he was approached by Fullerton and an accomplice. Following a brief conversation, he was reportedly shot several times by Fullerton. Both men ran off with a bag which they took from McIntosh. They reportedly escaped in a motor car. McIntosh was assisted to the May Pen Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police launched an investigation which led them to Fullerton. He was held on suspicion of murder and was formally charged following a question-and-answer session in the presence of his legal representative.
