Though Naomi Cowan is part of a reggae legacy, her passion for fashion is a dream she has developed all on her own.

After delivering a diverse set at the Lost In Time Festival on Saturday night, the artiste shared that she'd one day like to extend her creativity beyond music.

"I would love to collaborate with brands I already like. I wouldn't say 'Bwoy I going to come out with a line'. That's not in my vision, but you never know what could happen," she said.

"But more than anything, I would love to curate like one-off pop-up lines with people, or with brands that I love and appreciate. Like Naomi x H&M or like Zara or you know we can go higher end or whatever. But for me, one of my passions is being able to find really dope things in like unexpected places."

The Stargirl said she prefers to buy locally because of Jamaicans' incredible talent of picking out gems.

"So a lot of my pieces, I will go into Half-Way Tree, go into the arcade, go to small shops and so forth, like local shops Because also Jamaicans, I think we have the best taste. So nuff times when you go shopping here, you don't find those pieces abroad. I will be looking for pieces abroad and can't find anything but when you're in Jamaica, when our store owners and stuff go away and pick out the stuff dem, dem pick out the real good tings. So I'm actually really passionate about finding finds, and vintage stuff," she said.

For Saturday's show, her first live performance for 2023, she said she wanted her outfit to be as bright as she knew the night would be. And shine she did, in her shimmering silver bralette with a fringe detail under an oversized canary yellow overcoat and matching trousers. This was paired with a Bantu knot half updo and chunky orange sneakers.

Styled by Jamaican Stevy Who, the artiste said the look is both a colourful representation of her happy spirit as well as a showcase of freedom and comfort inspired by late R&B artiste Aaliyah.

"I wanted to feel free, I wanted to feel fresh and I also wanted to feel comfortable and fun. So I took inspiration from artistes like Aaliyah who is one of my fashion inspirations and just wanted to bring the girly tomboy energy to life," she said.

Though she has been gravitating to colour in her wardrobe lately, Cowan told THE STAR that her clothes are the only place in her life you can find the rainbow.

"I actually really love neutrals, so if you come to my apartment, my place is very calming. I don't actually have a lot of colours in my house, meaning my sheets, my couch, my cushions are all like white, tan, nude. But I think where I let my personality shine is through my clothes and how I'm feeling so I guess it's just me reflecting how I'm feeling inside," she said.
