Hanover farmer charged for shooting man in abdomen

Twenty-nine-year-old Oshane Haughton, otherwise called ‘Antsy’, a farmer of Pondside district in Hanover has been charged with wounding with intent following an incident which occurred in his community.

Haughton and another man had an argument on Monday, March 25 when Haughton brandished a firearm and opened gunfire in the direction of the man hitting him to the abdomen.

He was assisted to hospital where he was admitted and treated for his injuries.

The incident was reported to the police and Haughton was subsequently charged with the offence.

His court date is being finalised.
