Career thief heading back to prison - Gets two years for 18th conviction
A mechanic, who has almost 20 previous convictions, pledged to change his attitude several moments before he was sent to prison for two years.
“Me ago change this time, me ago change,” Sabastian Palmer told Senior Parish Judge Lori-Anne Cole-Montaque.
Palmer, who pleaded guilty to simple larceny earlier this year, confessed to having 17 previous convictions, 10 of which are for simple larceny. The details of his current case were not mentioned at the sentencing. However, despite the promise to start afresh, the senior jurist had no other option but to impose a custodial sentence of two years’ imprisonment at hard labour.

2006 – Nine months’ imprisonment at hard labour for receiving stolen property

2007 – Eight months’ imprisonment at hard labour for unlawful possession of property
2008 – 12 months’ imprisonment suspended for a year for simple larceny
