19-y-o implicated in Manchester Beryllium attack charged

The 19-year-old who has arrested following the brazen attack on a Beryllium truck in Grey Ground, Manchester earlier this month has been officially charged, the police have confirmed. 

He is Armani Brown, a sales clerk from Hotline Avenue in St Catherine.

It is reported that out 6:40 p.m. on December 11, Beryllium employees were at a business establishment when they came under gunfire.

When the shooting subsided Brown, his accomplice and a guard who received gunshot wounds, were taken to hospital where the accomplice died and the guard and Brown were treated.

A Winchester .38 firearm with four .38 rounds of ammunition was also seized.

An investigation was launched and Brown was subsequently charged with two counts of robbery with aggravation, wounding with intent, possession of prohibited weapon, possession of prohibited weapon with intent to injure, possession of prohibited weapon to cause serious damage to property and conspiracy to rob.

He is scheduled to appear in the Manchester Parish court on Wednesday, December 27.
