St Elizabeth IT teacher dies after suffering seizure

Damani Campbell, 28 year old information technology teacher of Roger Clarke High, died on Tuesday after suffering a seizure.

Twenty-eight-year-old Damani Campbell, an Information Technology teacher at the Roger Clarke High School in St Elizabeth, died suddenly after suffering a seizure on Tuesday. 

Campbell's death has sent his former school in mourning. 

“There are no words to express the tremendous grief that, as a school, we are experiencing. Death has robbed us of one of our very passionate, student-centred, jovial and dedicated teachers,” the school said in a statement. 

His death comes sharply on the heels of another. Alexis Thompson, a social studies and Library Science from Lacovia High School, also died suddenly about two weeks ago.

The 40-year-old, who is from Belmont in Westmoreland, was found unresponsive on December 20, sending shockwaves throughout the school community at the news.
