First double murder of 2024 in Spoilers

Jamaica's first case of a double murder for the year 2024 has been recorded. 

Three persons were shot, two fatally along Wildman Street in the community popularly known as Spoilers in Central Kingston on Wednesday night.

The STAR understands that a shooting occurred just before 8:00 p.m.

The identities of the deceased have not been ascertained, however residents in the space say the men go by “Eddie” and “Bull”, and are relatives.

The Kingston Central Criminal Investigations Branch has launched a probe into the matter. 

At the close of 2023, the Jamaica Constabulary Force said 40 people were killed in violent attacks compared to 48 in 2022.
