Man who jumped through motel window to escape cops charged
Teino Carnegie, the St Catherine man who jumped out the window of a motel in Bog Walk, has officially been charged after he was found with an illegal firearm.
On January 11, police investigators went on an intelligence-driven operation at the Island Dream Hotel, and up the room the accused was housed.
It is reported then when the cops gained entrance into the room, Carnegie was seen standing with a Beretta Pistol in his hand.
In an effort to escape, the accused reportedly jumped through a bathroom window, severely injuring himself in the process.
The firearm and a magazine containing two rounds of ammunition were retrieved. A court date is being arranged for Carneigie, who remains in hospital for his injuries.
